FM Fusion Reviewed

Well as promised I’m going to start looking in depth at some of the new sites to have appeared in the past few days. However things are going slowly as the new sites have a hell of a lot of content and I’ve just spent hours adding all of the pieces from FM Fusion, which, by the way, is the site we’re about to take a look at:

Today, we can announce the opening of FM-Fusions door’s to the general public. The site has been in the making for a long time, longer than we expected, but alas all the problems have been fixed, and the opening is now here.

I would like to thank the staff for their efforts in preparing for the opening, and a special thanks to Slash for designing and coding the entire site. And also to the members who have patiently awaited the release.

The guides section now has a good amount of readable content for you to browse, unfortunately we have a problem with the gfx section, we hope for that to be fixed ASAP. All content is also available on our forums for you to discuss, and comment on with other members.

If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to drop myself or Slash a PM on the forums.

Regards,

The Fusion Staff Team.

As the staff mention in their opening message there are problems with the graphics section. You’ll notice that clicking on the graphics link on the sidebar takes you to none other than the front page, whilst the latest gfx section takes you to a rather messy, error filled page, which (if you look carefully) you can still download from. But still it’s not really the best first impression to make.

Nonetheless that’s where the problems really stop. As you delve further into the site you find a fantastic array of content, rivalling even some of the biggest sites within the community and certainly the largest collection of guides and articles I’ve ever seen a site open with.

The player guides vary slightly, particularly between authors. With the majority of Blaze’s reviews being of a real top quality, in depth, helpful and generally insightful. However when you move onto reviews from other members of staff such as Ali the contrast in quality is striking.

Generally they are all pretty good guides, a lot better than some of guides we’ve seen within the community in recent months and years. It’s just a shame that the quality doesn’t reach the same pinnacle throughout the site.

Articles and Guides wise, despite the high quantity of content, it’s disappointing to see a fair few of the pieces appearing once again, after appearing at other sites previously. It rather takes away from the early thrill of seeing so many pieces. None the less the content is generally of a good quality and there are still a substantial number of pieces unique to FM Fusion, which is great to see.

Overall the site is fantastic. Especially for one just opened. There are a few problems, most notable with the graphics section and mini niggles such as the forums not being viewable to guests, but those really are little things that only the pickiest of individuals would have a problem with.

It’s a fantastic site and I strongly recommend. Just to prove to you quite how much content I’ve had to add from the site and the time it took, here’s a brief list of what you can find over at FM Fusion.
